Informer Programming software/hardware

Federal Signal Informer Software & Hardware kit (for use with serial COM ports). This is the complete kit to program the Informer. You can change the frequency and all other options on the Informer.

The software requires a real serial COM port (RS232) on a Windows computer. The software will not work using a USB to serial port adapter (except the Federal Signal version).

If the computer does not have a COM port (RS232) then you will need to buy a PCI card with a serial COM port (RS232). These are typically less than $50 on amazon, look for 'PCI Express RS232 Serial Adapter Card'. There is no guarantee that this will work, we have had mixed results.

If the PCI card does not work, you will need to buy the optional Federal Signal USB to Serial adapter.
